Paul Gallen and Shane Flanagan join Nine Radio’s Rugby League Coverage for 2021

Rugby League greats Paul Gallen and Shane Flanagan will join The Continuous Call Team on News Talk 2GB and 4BC from March 13.
 
Entering its 35th year on air, Gallen will be joining the team fortnightly on Saturday afternoons as well as co-hosting 2GB’s Wide World of Sports each Tuesday night, while Flanagan will be part of the commentary team each Saturday night throughout the season.
 

Media legend inducted into the NRL Hall of Fame

Peter Frilingos, one of the founding members of the Continuous Call Team, has been honoured with induction into the NRL Hall of Fame.
 
At a ceremony to be held in Sydney tonight, Continuous Call Team host Ray Hadley will accept the award alongside Peter’s wife Maureen, son Matt and daughter Anna.
 
Peter receives the award in recognition for his contribution to Rugby League as a print journalist.
 

Continuous Call Team returns for their 33rd year

Starting this Friday 15 March, Ray Hadley’s Continuous Call Team will return for their 33rd consecutive year on air , covering the National Rugby League on 2GB, 4BC, Macquarie Sports Radio Melbourne, Macquarie Sports Radio DAB+ Perth and  Network stations across Australia, New Zealand and Papua New Guinea.

Ray Hadley becomes longest serving commercial radio football caller

Ray Hadley marked a milestone yesterday, becoming commercial radio's longest serving rugby league football caller.

The previous record holder, Frank Hyde, was on air calling footy for 31 years. Yesterday Hadley began his 32nd year of football calling, after first beginning in 1982.

The NRL season has officially begun today with Hadley and his Continuous Call team scheduled to start covering matches from this week.

CCT adds regional rugby league to the call list

The Continuous Call team is set to get up close and personal with its regional listeners in the first of what the show hopes will be many Final Farewell Tours (eat your heart out John Farnham).
 
Over the next couple of months the Macquarie Radio Network show will be broadcasting from different regional locations, promoting events in the local community and, of course, supporting grass roots rugby league.
