Tennis is the tops in sports advertising: AirCheck Survey

The Australian Open was the most advertised brand over the last four weeks with 685 instances across only three stations according to AirCheck Australia.
 
Unsurprisingly, all three were in Melbourne, with Nova100 out in front placing 397 spots for the event.

‘Dancing With A Stranger’ was the most played song on Australian radio this year with 21,186 spins according to data from AirCheck Australia.
 
The smash hit, released on 11 January, received its first play the same day on Nova 1069 in Brisbane and since then has earned spins across 29 stations nationwide. Nova 969 Sydney spun the track the most, contributing 1,816 instances, while all five Nova stations collectively accounted for 39.7% of all plays.
 

Harvey Norman is the top brand in Australia

 As 2019 comes to a close, AirCheck Australia compared the top advertisers since the beginning of the year.
 
Harvey Norman was the most played brand on Australian radio this year with 202,233 ads placed across 54 stations. Nova Entertainment owned Star 104.5 on the Central Coast aired the most Harvey Norman ads during this time, accounting for 15,166 spots.

Coles tops the DAB+ brands

This week AirCheck Australia has compared the Top 10 DAB+ Radio Brands in Sydney and Perth.

Coles took out the top spot in both cities due to the overwhelming number of spots on Coles Radio, however there were 174 more spots placed in Perth.

In Sydney, OnDeck was in second place running ran less than half the spots than Coles followed by Vodafone airing 1,460 advertisements.

In Perth, Harvey Norman was in the No.2 spot with 2,334 ads, followed by Booking.com with 1,510 instances.

Top travel brands on radio: AirCheck Survey

As the coldest season continues, AirCheck Australia has investigated the Top Travel brands during Winter so far.

Flight Centre topped the list of Travel Services, airing a massive 7,330 ads in the last two months.
 
Forty stations across Australia aired Flight Centre advertisements during this time, with 2Day FM Sydney out in front with 521 instances.
 
TripADeal was in second place, airing all 1,963 spots solely on the Macquarie Media network.

With the first half of 2019 done and dusted, AirCheck Australia tallied which tracks received the most airplay on Australian radio.

AirCheck Client Services Executive, Riarne Gale says: 
“A total of 37,448 different songs were played over 2,000,000 times during the six month period. Of those, over 450,000 spins were from an Australian artist or band.”

Nova and KIIS share over 25% of their playlists in Sydney

AirCheck Australia has been comparing the music played on Sydney radio over the last four weeks and the greatest crossover was shared between Nova 969 and KIIS1065, with over a quarter of all tracks heard on both stations.
 
2DayFM wasn't far behind sharing 24.6% of its playlist with Nova.

Harvey Norman is the top brand in NSW and QLD

As we gear up for State of Origin Game 2 on Sunday, AirCheck Australia have compared the Top 10 Brands on radio in New South Wales and Queensland over the last four weeks.

Harvey Norman took out the top spot in both states, but NSW aired three times more spots than its counterpart. Sea FM 101.3 Central Coast aired the most spots for the advertiser, while in QLD 92.5 GOLD FM Gold Coast was out in front.
 
Domayne was the second most advertised brand in both states.

Music crossovers in Melbourne see The Fox and Nova share a third

With Survey 3 results out yesterday, AirCheck Australia have tallied the music crossovers in Melbourne during the last four weeks.

Comparing the CHR stations, 101.9 The Fox and Nova100 held the highest crossover sharing 31.2% of their playlists.

With the approach of Election Day on Saturday, AirCheck Australia has tallied which parties and politicians have placed the most spots on radio, TV and Pay TV.

Clive Palmer’s United Australia Party was the most advertised party during the last five weeks running a massive 11,428 spots, equating to a 35.40% share of all political advertising and with spots aired across 41 radio stations and TV channels, Sydney talk station 2GB aired the most spots for the party.
