4BC website draws a blank for Breakfast and Morning shifts

Monday 13 April, 2015

The timing of last Friday’s sackings at 4BC was crucial. The problem was always going to be how to let go their biggest stars including the Breakfast team of Ian Skippen and Loretta Ryan along with Morning host Patrick Condren and Evening presenter Walter Williams with the smoothest possible transition to the incoming talent.

Of course, the answer was to do it before a non-ratings period when it would be natural for the incumbents to go on leave with fill-ins at the ready to, well, fill in.

Alan Jones to continue on 4BC

Friday 30 January, 2015

Alan Jones is set to storm onto the Brisbane airwaves on a regular basis, following the success of his daily Queensland election program on 4BC.

Starting Monday February 2, Jones will be a fixture on 4BC’s daily schedule, with ‘The Alan Jones Hour’ broadcast from Midday to 1.00 pm on weekdays.

Jones is currently being sued by for defamation Queensland Premier Campbell Newman among other Queensland politicians, suggesting the new show was created to apply constant pressure to Queensland’s political landscape post-election.
