Alan Jones has missed another morning at 2GB, once again calling in sick, as he suffers from a bout of the flu and not a bad cold as originally thought.

After working in media for about 40 years, Chris Smith is enjoying his unexpected time off and is exploring new opportunities in TV and radio.
 
The former 2GB afternoon presenter told Michael Smith (no relation), “it seems really strange to not work, but I am loving life, I’m relaxed and through the anger and drama.”
 
“I’m looking at other projects, writing a book, still doing stuff with Channel 7 and Sky News, and I’m talking to another radio stations next week about a new project,” said Smith.

The 2GB morning host pipped Hit Network funnyman Dave Hughes into second place in the nationwide contest organised by Take 5 magazine.
 
Reigning champ Brendan Jones came sixth this year, one place below ARN stablemate Kyle Sandilands.
 

Karl takes over from Steve Price

Karl Stefanovic filled in for Steve Price today at 2GB, and began the program by sledging the regular host saying He's lost complete contact with the real world and that's why I'm in here this afternoon... to bring a bit of real back."

In his first hosting job since leaving Today, Karl took over the show today and was joined by Clinton Maynard who serves as anchor, as the pair broadcast to 2GB, 4BC and 2CC.

Hadley faces legal action from former staff member

2GB's Ray Hadley has addressed the recent bullying claims of a former staff member and the pending legal action.

Earlier this year  a facebook post from Chris Bowen outlined his years of torment as Ray Hadley’s studio producer, and within a month this was followed by accusations of bullying and intimidation by a further three former staff members and a political adviser.
