SEN breakfast show to broadcast from AFL House

The ‘Garry, Tim and Hamish’ Breakfast Show will broadcast live from AFL House every Monday morning during the 2017 Toyota AFL season, in a Melbourne radio first.
 
The show will be on-site at the Docklands headquarters once a week from Monday 20 March, giving fans unprecedented access to the hub of the AFL.
 
Listeners will be able to live video-stream the ‘Garry, Tim and Hamish’ AFL House show from 7am every Monday on a multitude of platforms including sen.com.au, afl.com.au, 1116 SEN DAB+ and both the 1116 SEN and AFL apps.

The who's who of the sporting world celebrated the launch of the new-look 1116 SEN in Melbourne last night including 'Garry, Tim and Hamish' for breakfast, 1116 SEN favourite, Kevin Bartlett, in the mornings, Francis Leach in the afternoons and David Schwarz and Mark Allen for 'The Run Home'.

1116 SEN unveils new sunday show dedicated to AFLW

An all-female cast has today been announced for 1116 SEN's new Sunday morning show - The AFLW Hour of Power - dedicated to the NAB AFL Women's competition (AFLW).

Hosting will be ex-netballer and avid campaigner for women in sport, Bianca Chatfield, and joining her each week will be a rotating panel of experts including respected sports journalist Sam Lane, the pioneer of NAB AFLW, Chyloe Kurdas and star of Collingwood's AFLW team, Kate Sheahan.

1116 SEN's new 2017 breakfast line up will feature former AFL player and media personality Garry Lyon, sports broadcaster and commentator Hamish McLachlan, Essendon legend Tim Watson and sports journalist and newshound Sam McClure.

"Garry, Tim and Hamish" will air from 6am to 9am weekdays and will feature respected journalist Mike Sheahan, Captain of the Western Bulldogs Bob Murphy and esteemed AFL analyst Anthony Hudson all on alternating days.

SEN jumps in where Triple M used to tread

SEN has taken up the Classic Rock brand recently abandoned by Triple M by launching its own version on DAB+.

Dubbed "the station that was so successful they closed it down" Triple M Classic Rock wound up in late September with the spin-off station eating into the cume audience of its parent station Triple M.

The app, which allows listeners and fans to enjoy their favourite 1116 SEN show and sports commentary on the go in high quality streaming, is available for both iPhone and Android users.
