Christian O'Connell has resigned from his breakfast shift at Absolute Radio UK, bound for a gig outside the UK. On his facebook page he wrote: "Although I am headed somewhere abroad, I will be still doing what I love, radio... Its been the hardest decision of not just my career but life... Over the last 12 years Absolute Radio has given me something truly special, the freedom to carve out my little place in the morning... I’m leaving for a really big new adventure for me and my family..."

Ally Bradley has been appointed General Manager of Southern Cross Austereo Tasmania. She has had a long career with SCA, starting in Albury in 2000, with stints in SA and regional Victoria and has performed a number of roles including Account Manager, Sales Manager and General Manager.

Matt Cameron (Tipping) is now 3GG’s night and weekend announcer. He replaces Orion Kelly who moves into local news. Matt will be filling in for “Deaksy” on breakfast in February 2018.

Richard Perno joins 2CC

Richard Perno will join Talking Canberra 2CC between 3-6pm weekdays from the end of February; he has been a talk host having worked in Sydney, Canberra, Albury and is currently heard on 2DU Dubbo. Richard joins 2CC after the recent resignation of current Canberra Live host Chris Coleman.

Over at Forever Classic 2CA, Cathy Dinn will be the new Drive Announcer 2-7pm weekdays. This is a homecoming for Dinn returning home to the Capital. Cathy’s extensive background both on and off-air will further strengthen 2CA’s line-up after Greg ‘Robbo’ Robson decided at the end of 2017 to take a break from radio.

Capital Radio Group PD Pete Davidson told radioinfo... These are two exciting key appointments for our stations. Richard is a strong talk personality and will make a real impact on 2CC. 2CA breakfast presenter Frank Vincent has been sacked after a harassment investigation. It is understood that allegations of sexual harassment were investigated last year by the station, leading the dismissal. Mr Vincent denies the allegations and has engaged counsel.

Liza Harvey is moving on from triple j Evenings Producer of 'Good Nights to a new role as Zane Rowe's producer on Double J.  Shortly after graduating from Australian Film Television and Radio School Liza presented and produced the 10-part series 'Root of the Problem' for the Community Broadcasting Association of Australia. She previously spent ten years volunteering and working in community radio 2RRR, 4ZZZ, 2ser FM, Real Radio, Star Observer Digital and JazzFM.

He has also overseen group programming at the UK’s largest commercial network and played a leading role in launching digital radio in the UK.
