Clive Robertson has been busy since leaving ABC Classic FM breakfast - losing weight (15 kilos) and writing his memoirs, War and No Peace. And, he has turned up as a surprise guest on Nova 969's Paul Murray evening show. Murray was suffering a sore throat and invited Robbo to come in one night recently to help him out on air. The two are friends from their days at 2SM.

Kelly Fedor has joined 2MG as the local news editor and 12-2 Presenter. Kelly joins us from CSU in Bathurst. Former News Editor Michelle Gardner has returned to Perth to pursue a love of Music.

Jonathan Coleman, presenter of ARN's 'My Generation', will not have his contract renewed after six years as breakfast announcer on Heart FM in London. Coleman is being replaced by former BBC children's presenter, Jamie Theakston.

Austereo has announced the appointment of Chris Newman as independent director on its Board and Chairman of the Audit Committee. Newman holds an Economics and Commerce degree from the University of Melbourne and is the principal of a corporate financial advisory firm. He has extensive experience in investment, mergers and acquisitions and corporate finance activities in Australia and overseas. He became a member of the Stock Exchange of Melbourne in 1978 and, only recently, concluded a longstanding association with the Australian Stock Exchange. Austereo Chairman, Peter Harvie, says: "The Board welcomes the skills and experience Chris brings to the company and Board and looks forward to his strong contribution to the company’s future."

Some moves afoot at SEA FM Rockhampton. Former HOT FM Breakfast hosts Daniel ‘Smithy’ Smith and Jo Switzer have re-located to Sea... Smithy now co-hosts breakfast with Paul ‘Blunty’ Blunt. Johjo is SEA FM’s new morning announcer and producer of SEA FM’s Lunchtime Legends. Now covering the breakfast shift on Hot FM are two born and bred Gladstonites, ‘Super” Steve Lanzon and Katrina Tibbetts. The Super and Kat Breaky show started on Jan 24.

Craig ‘Lowie’ Low will take over the Hot 30 Countdown from Higgo and Alexis from next week. Higgo is moving to Fox Fm Melbourne as afternoon presenter and Alexis is moving back to Austereo Adelaide.

Mick Molloy's 'Tough Love' program, 10am-noon on Triple M, has been cut to an hour and will start at midday from next Monday. Robyn Butler will return as co-host, but Alan Brough has left to work on a new ABC tv program.

Movement of an international kind: 702 ABC Sydney's top rating drive presenter, Richard Glover, has done a little co-hosting (while on holidays!) on KGO radio in San Francisco.

Alan Jones and John Laws will go head to head for the first time, with 2GB extending Jones' breakfast program by an hour to 10am. Effective from Monday 24 January, all other 2GB presenters will shift back an hour: Ray Hadley to 10am-1pm; Chris Smith to 1-4pm; and Philip Clark to 4-7pm. The changes mean Hadley will continue to lead the weekend 'Continuous Call' league team.
