Arts and Sport Minister Rod Kemp has appointed Nova 100 GM Fiona Cameron and NOIE CEO John Rimmer to the Council of AFTRS. Danny Gilbert has also been reappointed as Chair of the AFTRS Council.

2CHY-FM Coffs Harbour Breakfast Announcer/Sports Show Host/Sales Rep NIK JAMES has accepted the position of Promotions Manager at 2MC/Star-FM Port Macquarie, starting on Monday October 27th.

David Harley has moved on from NXFM and KOFM to pursue full time study. He was most recently the Client Services Coordinator and prior to that was the group Traffic Manager - a position that he also held at NEW FM & 2HD

Mel Betts joins Regional Radio Bureau as the Sydney based agency account manager. RRB CEO Mary Martin reported, “Mel joins at an exciting time with an increased focus by the advertising industry on Regional Australia”. Mel comes to RRB with five years experience in regional radio; she was formerly Senior account manager with Back To Media in Sydney.

NOVA 93.7's overnights announcer and on-air floater, Mason Edwards, is making a move to the other side of the country. He is the new morning announcer for ARN/ Austereo's FM104.7 in Canberra.

Ronnie Stanton, who recently left K Rock/Bay Fm in Geelong to move to Queensland, citing family reasons, has landed the job of co-host on breakfast for the new dmg station soon to open on the Sunshine Coast. His co-host on the coast will be ex-Big Brother contestant Chrissie Swan.

Lisa 'Milly' Millard has moved from Triple M breakfast to sister station SAFM, joining the breakfast team. She replaces Amanda Blair.

Jo Neil has resigned from 5CS/magic 105.9 to pursues a sales manager role at Power FM at Murray Bridge. He is being replaced by David "Bomber" Brown to the team. Bomber has had previous media experience in radio and tv. He is moving from Elders in Port Pirie and worked for 5AU some years ago.

Perth stand-up comedian, Werzel, will be co-hosting 96FM nights (7-10PM) with existing announcer Wayne McClean,.
Werzel said, “I always wanted to broadcast pirate radio, like Christian Slater in Pump Up The Volume or Graeme Garden in The Goodies…then I remembered legal radio stations already have transmitters, microphones, CDs, the whole box and dice. I grew up loving 96, so I figured why not be a pirate announcer on my favourite station?”

Austereo has appointed Nick Nichles, General Manager – Sydney, to the newly created position of Manager - Marketing and Brand Development. Patrick Joyce will move into Nick Nichles’ previous role as General Manager – Sydney, and former Director of Sales, Chris Parker has been appointed to the newly created position of Austereo’s National Client Marketing Director.
