Mark Spurway leaves the ABC in Sydney

Mark Spurway will be leaving the ABC this Friday after 14 years as Head of Transmission.  During his time at the ABC – the national broadcaster – he has overseen the transition from analog TV to the digital television transmission platform,  implemented 71 new regional NewsRadio network FM services and introduced DAB in the 5 metro markets with another 3 markets planned for the next 6 months in Canberra, Darwin and Hobart. Mark told radioinfo that it has been a privilege to work at the ABC with such great people. He is leaving to start his own venture.
