Detailed SCMA conference schedule released

Southern Community Media Association CEO Ray Hazen has announced a full detailed schedule for the National Regional, Rural and Sub Metro Broadcasters Conference, now available on the Association’s web site.

Southern Community Media Association President Graeme Macartney has told radioinfo: “The schedule contains information on Plenary Sessions and Workshops including a little about each workshop and who is presenting the session. With the conference now just on nine weeks away the workshops and presenters are being finalised and tightened up. There are always those circumstances that mean that a presenter is not available for one reason or another and in those situations we try to replace the presenter and keep the topic where ever possible.”

The National Regional, Rural and Sub Metro Broadcasters Conference will be held in Ballarat Victoria Starting with the Free welcome BBQ on Friday May 2nd and concluding after the last session on Sunday May 4th 2008.

The X Award Presentation takes place at the conference dinner on Saturday May 3rd 2008 as part of the National Regional, Rural and Sub Metro Broadcasters Conference. The awards are open to all financial members of the Southern Community Media Association regardless of if they are attending the conference or not as well as any non member station who has registered to attend the Conference.

All members of the community Broadcasting Sector are more than welcome to attend the conference regardless of membership status with the Association.
