Bookmark and Share Magic boss Gary Hoffman latest to exit Fairfax Radio

Sunday 10 November, 2013

Veteran GM of Melbourne’s Magic 1278 is the latest to announce his resignation from Fairfax Radio.

This announcement follows the elevation two weeks ago of 96FM’s PD, Brad McNally to oversee all of Fairfax Radio’s music stations – Magic, Perth’s 96FM and Brisbane’s 4BH where less than a month ago Content Director Geoff Harrison was made redundant with Fairfax management citing  "structural changes to the day to day operations of the station."

No doubt about Fairfax Media, they know how to lose good and proven people don't they ? Just read through the list of those they have moved on or have walked of their own accord because they'd had a gut full of the Fairfax crap. Hoffman can look back on a splendid career in radio a medium he know so well. May I suggest even better than his employers.

Hi,
This is Jono and Ben,we hope that Magic will now become an easy listening radio station with all the recent changes.Unless Stardust becomes only an easy listening station with only 60s,70s,80s and 90's and today's music with none of the older music on it.
I think Magic should change their caption to "Magic Hits" instead of "The Best Songs of All time"
From Jono and Ben
P.S. All the best for the future to Gary Hoffman and hope his new job works out well.
