Zemanek climbs back at nights

Stan Zemanek was delighted with his figures in the most recent survey, which showed him lifting his share from 5.4% to 11.3% in just two surveys.

Zemanek, who returned to Sydney earlier this year from 3AW Melbourne, was delighted with the result. He told radioinfo:

“I had
some great survey results with 2UE in the ‘90s, but things are different now… the
competition is hot, so this result was very pleasing.”

“Not only am I up against all the other radio stations, but I am also battling with Prime
Time television and they threw everything at me with blockbusters like Australian Idol,
Big Brother and a host of other reality shows and sport.”

Zemanek has gained an extra
50,000 listeners since September this year between 9 pm and Midnight.

Zemanek sums up his philosophy saying: “If people want wallpaper, they have about 10
stations to choose from. If they want to be entertained and learn something at the same
time, they know where to find me.”

Since returning to 2UE, Zemanek has taken his night time program from 8th to 2nd in the ratings ladder for that timeslot.
