World Audio float

World Audio was named as one of the Australian Financial Review’s 10 worst performing floats of 2002 in an article analysing the year’s stock market successes and failures.

World Audio owns Sydney off-band AM station 1611 Radio 2 ‘The New Voice of Sydney’s West’ and plans to expand to a network off-band AM stations in other cities.

Its initial float of 47,415,003 shares raised over $6 million. The share price launched at 20 cents and is now trading around 8 cents per share.
