Wondery to launch their app in Australia

Wondery, who claim to be the world’s largest independent podcast publisher, have launched a new mobile app in Australia.

With an eye on the podcast listener landscape in Australia, Wondery is following the success of its recent US app launch to add a new mobile iOS and Android app.

Known for #1 international chart-toppers like Guru and Business Wars, Wondery’s overseas launch will make the listening experience more user-friendly than ever before, taking its signature approach of immersive storytelling and bringing it to audiences in Australia, where 85% listen to podcasts on a mobile device.

Wondery’s app will be available with numerous exclusive features typically found on a film/TV app including seasonal promo such as serialized show organization & auto-play, video trailers integrated into the UI of the app and personalized user home screens & show pages.

Also included within the app is Wondery+, the platform’s premium subscription service, which offers:

  • Platform Custom for Wondery shows- A user interface designed specifically for users accustomed to popular streaming platforms; easy season and episode navigation; visual trailers
  • Early access to new episodes of select series
  • Binge-mode/sequential listening
  • Ad-free listening of over 200 podcasts-for an undisturbed, constant stream of binge-worthy content
