Will & Woody’s good deed’s challenge breaks 1,000

Recently KIIS’s Will & Woody were set the challenge by Hugh van Cuylenburg from The Resilience Project to achieve 1000 good deeds in a week.

Hugh explained how doing something little for someone else can improve your state of mind by increasing the happiness for the person doing the good deed and of course making the person receiving the good deed feel great too by letting them know someone cares enough to do something nice for them.

Will & Woody hit the ground running and managed to complete a total of 1767 good deeds in two weeks.
As part of their good deeds, Will & Woody recorded Australia’s first ever podcast with a silent host, Mark, who is quadriplegic, and wanted to live his dream of hosting a podcast.

Some of the other deeds Will & Woody completed include:

  • Shouting a hair salon to their treatments with Woody footing the $700 bill
  • Getting Matt Preston to call his biggest fan in the country live on air
  • Will and Woody called Andy Lee to say thank you for all the help he’s given them over the years
  • Bringing Jess, a busker, into the studio so she can perform for Australia live on air and gifting her the money to finalise her album production
  • They treated 80-year-old Don, who has Parkinson’s disease and can no longer drive barred from driving, to one hot lap in a new Ferrari
  • Will & Woody visited Eastern Health hospital to deliver massage vouchers, high tea vouchers and flowers to the well deserving midwives and nurses
  • They also surprised their Executive Producer Tia by flying her mum and sister Emma over from Perth to spend the weekend
