Wil Anderson partner Eddie McGuire on Triple M’s Hot Breakfast?

Sunday 10 September, 2017

With Mick Molloy’s move to Triple M’s National Drive show, comedian Will Anderson is strongly tipped to fill the gap on Melbourne’s Hot Breakfast.

Anderson, who presented the National Drive show on Triple M from 2007 to 2009, recently told Media Week, “I always thought that Mick Molloy had the best job and when I saw that he was leaving I did sit by my phone and go, well, you can call me about this one if you want to call me about one because I think that this is probably the perfect job.

“You get in by 7am, you are done by 9am and you are on a show where you are not doing the heavy lifting," he said.

He then went on to make a personal appeal to the gatekeepers, saying,  “Eddie McGuire, Luke Darcy, Guy Dobson, Mike Fitzpatrick…Grant Blackley …. I can be convinced, I can be convinced guys.”

But while Anderson was making his public job application, Triple M’s Head of Content, Mike Fitzpatrick was playing his cards close to his chest, telling Melbourne’s Herald-Sun*,

“It is the time of year when everyone starts moving the chess pieces.”
