Whisperer wins big on 2UE

In their final Breakfast show of 2014, 2UE’s John Stanley and Garry Linnell this morning awarded a small car to a lucky 2UE listener.

Across the year, the 2UE breakfast show has been calling for listeners to contact the show with their ‘whisper’ – that is, news or a rumour that the people of Sydney need to know about. Across the year, several hundred listeners have contributed with a range of information that has led to the program following up with some of these issues, and has certainly led to some interesting commentary.

The winner, Donna, lives in the Hills District and is a regular 2UE listener. She contacted the Breakfast show in mid-November with her whisper which focused on heat reading technology allowing people to access your ATM PIN number.

2UE Content Director Clinton Maynard said: “’The Whisper’ is a new segment to Sydney news talk radio that creates waves in the news cycle every week. This year we’ve broken dozens of stories through tips from our listeners aired on ‘The Whisper’.”
