The tweet could be an indication that the Macquarie-Fairfax merger is about to happen as he is speculating, with staff from the Macquarie Radio Network being called to a meeting tomorrow night.
But Derryn may have got the wrong end of the stick. Insiders say that the meeting has been scheduled for more than a month and that regular ‘year in review’ meetings happen at this time most years for the network.
But knowing John Singleton, anything is possible.
