Webby’s Golden Years of Radio

Graham Webb on Radio Caroline in the 1960s

After almost 60 years in radio and TV, Graham Webb is someone well qualified to select the very best of music and stories from the forties to the naughties, which he does on his Golden Years of Radio show each week.

The two hour show airs on the Sunshine Coast community radio station Sunshine FM 104.9, which Webb co-founded 12 years ago. It is also heard on Richmond Valley Radio 88.9 in Coraki NSW.

Webb has told radioinfo:

“Along with the amazing music from the past 6 decades, I am including personal interviews with stars such as The Beatles, Monkees, ABBA, Rolf Harris and many others, especially our own Aussie stars. I’m also including entertaining ‘grabs’ from radio shows of the past from my personal collection.”

He would also appreciate any audio contributions from “fellow long-term-radio-travellers.”

The show is available free for any interested community radio station in Australia. “So please let me know if anyone would be keen to receive it, once I find a National Sponsor,” says Webb
