WA’s ‘Ned & Josh’ head to Canberra

HIT104.7 announces replacement for Ryan and Tanya.

After taking home the ACRA for Best Network Program – Provincial last month, HIT FM WA breakfast team ‘Ned & Josh’ announced to listeners this morning that they will wrap up next Friday (Nov. 24) and move the show to HIT104.7 in Canberra.

Ned & Josh have been secured to replace duo Ryan Jon and Tanya Hennessy, who left the Canberra breakfast slot in early November, with Tanya pursuing multimedia projects and Jon returning to Perth to present breakfast for Hit 92.9.

“We’ve been really lucky to have had so much fun doing the show in WA and are really excited and extremely grateful for the opportunity to head to Canberra with Hit 104.7.” said show anchor Josh Torney. “We were stoked to be able to take over for Ryan Jon in WA and we are now following him again to the nation’s capital. Let’s just say we are really, really invested in Ryan’s continued success.”

HIT104.7 Content Director – Rod Cuddihy said “We are so pumped to secure the most consistently high performing team in regional Australia. Ned & Josh’s sharp wits & down to earth personalities have engaged with West Australians in record numbers across all their markets. We couldn’t ask for a better show to move into a slot that Ryan & Tanya made such a success over the last couple of years.”

Canberra FM Radio General Manager Craig Wagstaff says that “Ned and Josh will be a great addition to the station as a personable and entertaining choice for our listeners during breakfast. In meeting with them, it’s clear they have a unique bond that will be relatable to our audience and commercial partners alike. They are both extremely excited to move to Canberra and enhance even further our station’s involvement in the community.”

The boys will deliver their first Canberra show 6AM, Monday December 4.
