Vampire lovers win $1 million with 2Day’s Dawn OB

2Day FM and Twilight fans gathered on Bondi Beach at dawn this morning for Kyle & Jackie O’s Million Dollar Dawn Dig, in a scene much like the one where Bella and Edward honeymoon in the latest Twilight film. Isabella from Ryde was shocked when she dug up the biggest prize in Australian radio history, winning one million dollars in one of 250 bags buried on Bondi Beach.

As Isabella opened her chosen bag with the word ‘winner’ inside, she screamed to her husband: “We won! You said when you win let me know… I’M LETTING YOU KNOW!!!”   Listen here to her reaction.

Isabella dug with her hands and a shovel from an area of sand at Bondi and found five out of 250 buried bags.  She was given the opportunity to look inside two of the bags and the first one she opened miraculously contained the one and only prize that lay beneath the sand – a million dollars. She was chosen from over 10,000 entries nationally to The Kyle & Jackie O Show.

The win was thanks to 2Day FM and Hoyts Distribution in a promotion to celebrate the release of The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn Part 1 which hits Australian cinemas next Thursday 17 November.

Jackie O broadcast from the beachside and Kyle was down the line on Skype from LA, where he has been doing Twilight interviews with the likes of Robert Pattinson, Taylor Launtner and Kristen Stewart.
