Vale Jeff Condron

Former 2MC and 2KA manager Jeff Condron has passed away.

Jeff lived mostly on the NSW north coast, at Port Macquarie, where he first became involved with 2MC, as a young man. He was also involved in events management in the region.

He was also a staunch Labor Party member all his life as well as a devout Catholic.

Friend, Sandra Wilson told Port Macquarie News that Jeff Condron moved the Emmaus retirement home in 2013 and would regularly “hold court” during his time there:

“Every Sunday we would meet in ‘the den’ and share a bottle of wine between us and his great friend Ken. He just drew people to him by organising different events including Octoberfest and St Patrick’s Day. Jeff even organised for me to meet the Pope. And when I got back from the trip I gave him some rosary beads the Pope had blessed.”

The rosary beads, along with a South Sydney supporters cap and a picture, adorned the coffin at his funeral service last week.

RIP Jeff.
