Highly respected Wagga Wagga media identity, Bill Marsden has passed away at the age of 90.

Although many will remember Mr Marsden for his pioneering work in setting up television station RVN 2 which commenced broadcasting from studios in Wagga Wagga in 1964, others will remember his earlier days as station manager of 2LF Young.

In a letter to the editor of the Wagga Wagga Daily Advertiser, a former employee of Mr Marsden’s, Richard Gray wrote “I was deeply saddened by the news of Bill’s passing. Having known him over almost 60 years, he was always a wonderful leader, mentor, a man of absolute integrity and principal.”
