US Radio stunt – A town named Viagra

The town of Agra Oklahoma has changed its name to “Viagra” as a result of a radio contest.

It started as a challenge from a country radio station called ‘The Twister,’ when the station offered the town free concert tickets if it would rename Agra to Viagra. City leaders erected the sign early Friday morning.

The city council voted unanimously for the name change, hoping for good publicity.

But like the pill, the name change will not last long – the name will change back after one week.

Because the town lived up to the challenge, all of Viagra’s 370 residents are getting a ticket to a country music concert in Tulsa.
