Nova 93.7’s Nathan, Nat & Shaun welcomed their most important guest into the studio this morning – the US Ambassador Jeffrey Bleich, who was in a mood that was anything but official.

“How do you get to become an Ambassador?” Nat asked.

“There is a lot of bribery and extortion involved, it’s a very shady deal I don’t know if I could tell you about it”, Bleich joked first, before continuing, “I was selected by the president”.

Bleich went on to say, “The great thing about President Obama is he is just like he appears on TV, there is no artifice about him.”

“I’ve known him for 20 odd years and he is the same person as when he was a law student, very balanced, funny, smart, great temperament, easy going, good athlete, just fun to be around but someone you really trust and who raises the game of the people around him. He makes people around him better.”

Bleich joked of his disappointment in getting paid in US dollars, and revealed that the length of his stay is determined by the president.
