UK survey results for digital channel Oneworld

UK digital radio channel Oneword radio, “the pioneering digital books, plays, comedy and discussion station” has announced its first RAJAR Survey results.

Oneword is the first digital radio station to have subscribed to the industry standard audience measurement system.

Their figures “show a well balanced demographic that includes a significant number of 4-14 year olds.”

The audience figures show:-

* Weekly listening to Oneword of 165,000 hours

* 50% of the audience is 35-64 year old men

* 20% of the audience is children (aged 4-14)

* 52% of the audience is ABC1

The aim of the station is to attract a new audience to books. Oneword considers its current audience to be worth £6 million annually to the book trade.

The station has also sold a national annual sponsorship package (Bloomsbury) and sold an agency negotiated advertising campaign (Dunlop).
