Two new girls for Nova Perth

Nova 93.7 has added two new female presenters to its lineup – Claire Marshall and Mel Camp. Marshall is on air 12-3pm and Camp is on weekends.

Claire Marshall “has blagged her way into interviewing a few acts in her 8 years on air in Perth. Drinking a few bottles of wine with Anthony from the Chilli Peppers before their gig, Lenny Kravitz offered her some ‘after show action’ and Kylie wanted to go shopping in Paris, which of course has never happened.”

She did get close to Paris though, moving to the UK over 6 months ago to work on a station in Bristol.

After “many hangovers, too much shopping and a few long phone calls from Nova, Marshall decided to come back home to where the weather is better, the wine is better, the food is better and the weather is better.”

Mel Camp is now in her fifth year of radio and “to escape the madness can often be spotted Yakking (Kayaking) on the Swan river where she grew up having mud fights. Nothing much has really changed (except Mel takes her mud wrestling far more seriously these days and so do most of the spectators).”

Managing Director Gary Roberts told radioinfo: “We’ve made a mistake, hiring two people that know what they’re doing.”
