Another year of great music has ended, and Triple J listeners
have voted for the best of it. Triple J’s Hottest 100 Aussie songs was
revealed this weekend.
Aussie band, JET, has triumphed, scoring the number one place
– the 5th time an Aussie band has done it in Hottest 100 history.
The poll was decided as a result of 383,000 votes cast via the internet
and SMS. Extra security measures had been put in place to ensure
the validity of the Hottest 100, with voters limited to choosing 10 songs
this year.
