Tender for Fiji AM Transmitters

Fiji Broadcasting has put out an international tender to buy new AM transmitters to replace the old ones, which were recently destroyed in a cyclone.

The Fiji Broadcasting Corporation Limited is a Radio Company operating a network of six radio stations in the Republic of Fiji Islands. The stations transmit in a mixture of the AM and FM mode.

The Company has embarked on a major upgrading project of its transmission facilities and is seeking to buy several AM transmitters to replace ones that were damaged during a recent tropical cyclone.

We therefore invite written tenders from reputable international suppliers for the following AM transmitters:

1. 2.5 kw, 5 kw and 10kw transmitters

2. Full solid state

3. High efficiency

4. Proven track record of reliable operation

5. Great degree of modular redundancy through to the power supplies

6. The ability to maintain transmission under failure conditions

7. Adequate support services
