Ten men in jockey shorts, high heels and a mask

Nova 106.9’s Ash, Kip & Luttsy took over Brisbane’s Eagle Farm racecourse yesterday morning, swapping horses for humans, for the running of their inaugural “Run For Your Wife” race.

Ten brave and devoted men wearing nothing more than a pair of silky jockey shorts, high heels and a horse mask, lined up to race 50 metres down the straight in the hope of winning the major prize for their partner or wife.

The race was dominated by eventual winner, Quivering Quinn, who took off like Black Cavair to take home the major fashion pack prize for his partner which included a pair
of Louboutins.

Nova 106.9’s Ash, Kip & Luttsy recruited the runners via an on-air and online competition but also left two “wild card” spots to be filled on the day.

“Run For Your Wife” was part of the “Grinders Coffee Breakfast with the Stars” event which is the start of the week long celebrations leading up to Queensland’s biggest race day: The AAMI Stradbroke on Saturday 11 June.

“Run For Your Wife” was called by David “Luttsy” Lutteral and Nova 106.9 facebook fans could “bet” on the race to win tickets to the race day.
