Team Spirit survives the 24 hour of LeMons

The Challenge was simple, buy a car worth no more than $999, install a safety harness and roll cage and keep it alive as it drives around Collie Motorplex for 24 hours.

The team at Spirit Radio took on the challenge and partook in this first of its kind event in Western Australia.

Despite some cars replacing engines and fuel tanks, The Team Spirit car survived the 24 hours with the biggest challenge being the brake pads that needed 3 changes over the weekend.

Not only was this a great campaign for the clients and the station, but also for one lucky listener who got to be part of the Spirit Crew and drive around the track.

“I would have to say as a radio network it has been one of the best promotions I have ever been involved in. We come up with all sorts of unique and out of the box ideas that sound great on-air and provide added benefit for our clients. But I think this has been the most unique.” – Damian Winn, Account Executive, Redwave Media

“It feels awesome to be a part of promotions like this because you’re creating experiences and memories. I think every person that was at the Collie Motorplex will be back next year” Big Al, Spirit Radio Breakfast Announcer.
