Tamworth Country Music Award winners

Troy Cassar-Daley was the big winner at this year’s Australian Country Music Awards held in Tamworth last weekend. He won Song of the Year and Male Vocalist of the Year with his song Born To Survive and also Vocal Collaboration of the Year.

Melinda Schneider won the Golden Guitar for Female Vocalist of the Year with her song The Story Of My Life.

Since being taken over by the Country Music Association of Australia in 1993, the Country Music Awards have been revitalised and elevated back to national and international prominence. Presented annually in January before an audience of 5,000 fans, artists, industry people and visitors, the Awards recognise and promote excellence in Australian country music songwriting, performance and recording. The awards are sponsored by Toyota.
