Stuart Coupe to host Dirt Music on 2SER

Dirt Music, a new music series show, is set to begin on 2SER 107.3 on February 15.

Hosted by longstanding rock journalist and veritable roots roller Stuart Coupe, Dirt Music will explore the expanse and history of roots music spanning country, folk, blues, Americana and so much more with unparalleled selections and insight.

In the lead-up to Bluesfest 2014, Stuart will also have access to some of the most amazing talent in the field taking part in this year’s event. Having already interviewed the likes of Bob Dylan, Lou Reed, Mick Jagger, Elvis Costello, Neil Young and Bruce Springsteen over the course of his career, Stuart will provide some great conversations with great music figures on Dirt Music.

2ser’s Music Director Andrew Khedoori said: “I am thrilled to have Stuart join the station for this exciting series. Dirt Music will join our line up of diverse music shows, such as Sideways Through Sound, Static and The Outpost.”

Stuart said: “I’ve been a big fan of 2SER’s for decades now and in fact presented a show – Punk To Funk – briefly back in the – gulp! – very late 1970s. When Andrew threw the idea of a roots music show at me combined with the chance to present shows on 2SER it was a no brainer.”

Dirt Music will being on Saturday February 15 at 1pm on 2SER.
