‘Strongest ever position’ to drive more online solutions: SCA stats

Southern Cross Austereo has claimed the position of Australia’s number one online commercial radio group, engaging over 56% of the total national online commercial radio audience across its digital assets, according to Nielsen’s May 2014 Market Intelligence online results*.

Other key highlights of this month’s stats show:

  • The Today Network and the Triple M Network are the #1 and #2 online radio brands in Australia, ranked by average daily unique browsers.
  • SCA’s national network average daily online traffic increased 55% year-on-year.
  • SCA is Australia’s biggest radio publisher online across all devices with 189,175 daily uniques.

SCA is the fifth biggest mobile publisher in Australia’s media industry and has the highest cume conversion of its broadcast audience than any other radio group.

The company is the second most mobile-optimised publisher in Australia, with 70% of SCA’s digital audience engaging with its mobile sites.

  • SCA network is the seventh biggest daily ‘tagged’ digital publisher on mobile in Australia, up from 13th last month and in its highest ever position.
  • SCA has the highest cume conversion of its broadcast audience than any other radio group.
