Stern signs on aussie producer

From studios in Newport Beach, Sydney Jeff Thomas Productions has helped
make radio history working for US ‘shock jock’ Howard Stern and his launch
into the new satellite radio market.

Howard Stern started his much talked about show with Sirius Satellite Radio
on January 9, 2006 : a deal worth US$500,000,000 over 5 years. Stern’s
syndicated audience was reported to exceed 13 million people and he has
already helped Sirius triple its subscribers to more than 3 million.

Jeff Thomas has signed a 12 month deal to produce material for Howard’s
two channels, HOWARD 100 and HOWARD 101. Work began late last year
scanning Stern’s massive audio archive in order to produce a ‘history of
Howard’ countdown piece that aired the entire weekend prior to the launch as well as launch promos and other imaging material.

Jeff Thomas (ex 2MMM FM) has previously worked as Creative Services
Director for Virgin Radio in London and KIIS FM in Los Angeles. After
returning to Australia in 2000, he continued working for KIIS for a further 5
years from his studios in Newport Beach.
