This Saturday March 8 is International Women’s Day and Star 104.5 on New South Wales’ Central Coast is celebrating by playing hit music from female artists including Missy Higgins, P!nk, Lorde and Joan Jett.

Plus the station has an all-girls line up of announcers, including Mandy from the Star 104.5 Breakfast Show, Sophia Lazarides from the News Room, Breakfast Producer Anna Crotti and Road Star Alice Worthy.

They will be joined by some fantastic female guests including author of “I Quit Sugar” and former editor of Cosmopolitan Sarah Wilson, Paralympic swimmer Ellie Cole, Dr Goli Samimi the Head of Ovarian Cancer Research, author and TV personality Gretel Killeen, dancer and entertainer Nikki Webster, The Block co-host Shelley Craft and finally Mandy’s mum.

Integration and Marketing Director Cassie Grentell said: “We are blessed to have some of the best female musicians in our playlist but we are even more blessed to have such amazing women to draw on right here on the Central Coast. What better way to showcase them than to dedicate a day’s programming to the ladies”.
