Star 102.7 makes a move in Cairns, Hit 105.3 still on top in FNQ

 Hit 103.5 Cairns is still at the top of the latest survey in Far North Queensland, but Star 102.7 was the big mover, pushing Triple M Cairns into 3rd place.

Despite the ABC Far North losing some ground, down 1.6 to 12.5, they are still in 4th spot followed by triple j, with both stations still ahead of 4CA.

The Star 102.7 breakfast program with Dave and Inkie drove the results for the station, up by 5.1 to 20.2, with Drive a mix of Fitzy & Wippa followed by Kate, Tim & Marty up by 6.9 to 21.5.

Hit 105.3’s breakfast duo of Shad & Carly are still number 1, while the syndicated programs of Carrie & Tommy followed by Hughesy & Kate are still number 1 in drive.

The biggest loser in breakfast was the ABC, down by 3 to 12.7, dropping it from 2nd place last year to 5th.

The survey, conducted from 30 July to 18 August had a sample size of 1200 representing a population of over 150,000 people aged
