smoothfm unwraps its Chocolate Festival for 2018

The smooth Festival of Chocolate is back for its fifth year on the first weekend in September.

Part of the smoothfm Lifestyle Experience, the festival has moved from The Rocks into what it feels is a more family friendly venue at the Sydney Showground in Sydney Olympic Park.

It will be a ticketed event this year, and for every ticket sold, two meals will be donated to OzHarvest, Australia’s leading food rescue charity.

For chocolate lovers, the two-day celebration is highlighted with decadent deserts, sweet treat and live cooking demonstrations.

Adriano Zumbo, the Dessert king, returns to present his live cooking demonstration at the Callebaut Test Kitchen.

Former Masterchef contestant, Reynold Poernomo (Koi Dessert Bar), Riccardo Falcone (Rockpool Dining Group) and Australians Queen of Chocolate, Kirsten Tibballs will also feature at the event.

There will be plenty of entertainment for the kids with special guests Nick Jr’s PAW Patrol, Nickelodeon’s Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, and characters from Sesame Street and The Smurfs. This smooth Kinds Interactive space will also provde the opportunity to get involved in live and interactive cooking demonstrations with Baked by Andres and N2 Extreme Gelato.

There is also a chance to meet smoothfm announcers Melissa Doyle, Richard Wilkins, David Campbell and Cameron Daddo.
