The upcoming triple j One Night Stand concert in Tasmania, will be opened by local Launceston band The Sleepyheads and broadcast live.
And this year the concert will be telecast the following day on ABC and iview.
The telecast comes hot on the heels of rages recent Splendour In The Grass special, and continues to highlight the ABC‘s commitment to broadcasting live music across all of its platforms.
The annual free, all ages concert, provides the chance to experience live music in an area that’s not on the usual musical touring map, and and this year it’s the Tasmanian town of St Helens’ turn to shine.
Triple j’s live broadcast begins at 12pm Saturday September 1st.
From 9.30 the following day, highlights of the concert will be televised on the ABC and iview, and hosted by triple j Mornings presenter, Linda Marigliano.
The 90 minute special will feature live performances from Vance Joy, Peking Duk, Tkay Maidza, Middle Kids, Alex the Astronaut and special guests.
