SEN Stadium takes game day experience to next level

Claiming an Australian-first, Sports Entertainment Network has launched SEN Stadium, an instadium live AFL commentary listening experience which overcomes traditional transmission delays.

This revolutionary live streaming solution is now available for AFL games at Marvel Stadium where fans can access all the exciting play-by-play moments from the AFL Nation commentary team in real time – with zero latency.

SEN head of digital Simon Chapman said SEN Stadium would take the game-day experience to the next level for fans. “We know how much fans love listening to live commentary while watching the footy, but streaming delays have made this a really frustrating experience. That’s all in the past with SEN Stadium enabling fans to stream our AFL Nation broadcast play-by-play with no delay.”

“We thank the AFL and Marvel for partnering with us to deliver this improved experience for footy fans which, after a successful soft launch last week for Round 1, we are delighted to make available to fans for games at Marvel from this week.”

SEN partnered with D2N Technology Solutions in the development of SEN Stadium, with D2N providing the hardware and content delivery solution which relies on the user logging into the stadium wifi via the SEN app to live stream the real time audio.

Managing Director D2N, Jason Owen,  said the company was proud to be working with SEN in the development and introduction of SEN Stadium. “Gone are the days of listening to a cheap FM receiver with average sound quality, this is a truly unique fan engagement platform that is without rival anywhere in the world. It will change the way fans engage with their beloved game at the ground and connect them to the sport like never before.”
