SEN Melbourne has another COVID 19 scare

The Herald Sun is reporting (subscription required) that Melbourne’s Crocmedia offices, which include the SEN radio studio, have had a COVID-19 scare.

According to the Herald Sun, a SEN employee last week tested positive and all the staff at the company’s Southbank offices were ordered to get urgent testing.

Footy Classified host and Crocmedia CEO, Craig Hutchison withdrew for hosting Monday night’s show , and the scare also has ramifications for 3AW’s Sports Today, hosted by Gerard Healy and Sam McClure as they are recorded in the same studio, while Fox Footy commentators Jordan Lewis and Nick Dal Santo also have links to SEN, though both have tested negative.

Healy also hosted Fox Footy’s On The Coach Monday night with Garry Lyon, Nick Riewoldt and Jonathan Brown on the panel.

All of the SEN staff who are tested will have self-isolate as they await results, and a SEN spokesperson told the Herald Sun that the station underwent a deep clean on Friday and “…our absolute priority is the health and wellbeing of our staff and contractors and we are closely following all COVID-19 protocols as set by the Victorian Government.”
