SEN hits a home run with the Melbourne Aces

SEN has broadened its live sport coverage further, forging a commercial partnership with ABL baseball franchise the Melbourne Aces to call all home matches this summer.

Crocmedia Chief Executive Craig Hutchison today confirmed all 20 Aces home matches at the Melbourne Ballpark would be heard across 1377 SEN+ and SEN2 this summer in a boost for the city’s baseball fans.

The partnership includes digital, social and audio content across SEN’s suite of stations and the all new SEN app.

“We believe in the direction the new ownership is taking the Melbourne Aces and the fan base of baseball in Melbourne remains an untapped opportunity,” Hutchison said. “We are delighted to be calling the games as part of our whole of sport strategy.

“SEN prides itself on being Melbourne’s home of sport and getting behind all “Melbourne” teams – and now we have the Melbourne Aces, Rebels, City, Victory, Storm and our own Melbourne United in the SEN family.

“For our audiences it’s all about choice. And baseball fans deserve access to the excitement of the ABL.”

Melbourne Aces General Manager, Justin Huber spoke of his delight at bringing Australian baseball closer to its fans. “We are thrilled that SEN will be calling all Melbourne Aces home games.
Victorians love their sport and SEN is where they go to hear it.

“Fans who can’t get to the game will be able to listen to every pitch live on 1377 SEN+ and SEN 2 and can tune in anywhere in the world with the SEN app.”
