SEN breakfast show to broadcast from AFL House

The ‘Garry, Tim and Hamish’ Breakfast Show will broadcast live from AFL House every Monday morning during the 2017 Toyota AFL season, in a Melbourne radio first.

The show will be on-site at the Docklands headquarters once a week from Monday 20 March, giving fans unprecedented access to the hub of the AFL.

Listeners will be able to live video-stream the ‘Garry, Tim and Hamish’ AFL House show from 7am every Monday on a multitude of platforms including sen.com.au, afl.com.au, 1116 SEN DAB+ and both the 1116 SEN and AFL apps.

A rotating panel of experts will join ‘Garry, Tim and Hamish’ at AFL House, including AFL regulars, league executives and the Godfather, Mike Sheahan, who will grace the airwaves from 7:35am each week.

With access to the league’s command centre, newshound Sam McClure’s ‘The McClure Report’ will be taken to the next level, with the biggest news in AFL.

Breakfast Show host, Garry Lyon, is looking forward to the weekly change of scenery.

“Melbourne is the AFL capital of the nation and it will be great to get out of the studio every Monday and give 1116 SEN listeners access to the inner sanctum,” said Lyon.

“There is so much to discuss and dissect after a weekend of football and what better environment to do that from than the headquarters of AFL Football in this country.”

General Manager of 1116 SEN, Cathy Thomas, is looking forward to taking the Breakfast Show to new heights:

“We continue to strive to bring our listeners unparalleled access to the latest AFL news and analysis.

“A weekly broadcast from the epicentre of the Australian Football League further cements 1116 SEN as Melbourne’s Home of Football.”

Peter Campbell, AFL General Manager of Media and Broadcasting, Commercial Media, is excited by the new venture:

“The AFL website – afl.com.au and the AFL LiveApp are delighted to partner with 1116 SEN to live video stream the ‘Garry, Tim and Hamish’ Breakfast Show for two hours each Monday morning, commencing from the lead-in to round one on Monday March 20.

“Afl.com.au and the AFL LiveApp will live stream from 7am-9am each Monday, as Garry Lyon, Tim Watson and Hamish McLachlan digest the weekend’s football and look forward to what is coming up in the 2017 Toyota AFL Premiership Season.”

Fans can access the live stream from the homepage of both afl.com.au and the AFL LiveApp.
