Scott Couchman joins Gold Coast’s 90.9 Sea FM

Gold Coast’s 90.9 Sea FM will welcome new workday afternoons announcer Scott Couchman to the airways on Monday.

Scott joins Southern Cross Austereo after years in the radio industry, most recently at Nova Brisbane.

His experience ranges from local to national on-air announcer and producing roles. He was an ACRA finalist in 2015 in the Best Newcomer Off Air category.

Couchman is “absolutely stoked to be joining the killer line-up here at 90.9 Sea FM, working with such a talented team right here on the Goldie is a total dream job if I’ve ever heard one. Plus I’m fairly sure I kinda own a jet ski and a jeep now, right Sea Cruisers? …guys?”

Scott Couchman is fresh from an extended honeymoon in the U.S.A. and keen to make the move from Brisbane to become a Gold Coast local with wife Stephanie.

“We’re stoked to have Scotty Couchman join 90.9 Sea FM as the new arvo announcer. Having traveled the short distance down the M1 he’s been issued the standard Sea Care Package of budgie smugglers, station sombrero, beach towel & fake tan,” says Corey Kay, Content Director SCA Gold Coast.

“He’s going to bring a fun & contagious enthusiasm our listeners are going to love. Having played in bands, Scotty has a deep passion for music, and I know he’s already on the search for his local Surf Club for a parmy!”

Scotty will be on air from 1pm- 3pm workdays on 90.9 Sea FM from next week.
