SCA’s GM position in Hobart made redundant

The position of General Manager at Southern Cross Austereo‘s Hobart Media Centre has been made redundant.

Subsequently Damon Wise, who has been with the company under its various guises for more than 30 years, will finish up.

SCA has recently restructured management in other regional and metro markets including Sydney and Melbourne.

He has reflected on his role in an email:

“I am fortunate that I can look back on a very successful time, working passionately and developing strong partnerships with so many Tasmanian businesses, arts, sporting and community organisations.

“The SCA Hobart team are an exceptional group of media professionals, so the business remains in good hands and is well placed to help you tell your story.”

SCA has “aligned the management structures in both our Hobart and Darwin markets with the organisational structure across the group.”

Both the Hobart General Manager, Damon Wise and Darwin General Manager, Nadine Jones will be leaving the company within weeks.

Damon’s last day as GM is April 7th.
