SCA’s Give Me 5 for Kids raises a record amount

Southern Cross Austereo today announced the results of its 24th annual Give Me 5 for Kids fundraiser, this year raising a record-breaking $3,625,037.

The result brings the grand total of the Give Me 5 for Kids appeal to $25.9 million since its inception in 1994, and eclipses the 2017 result of $2,581,548 by more than $1 million dollars.

Each year individuals and community groups throughout SCA’s 38 regional radio markets host morning teas, trivia, running races, movie nights and other activities under the Give Me 5 for Kids banner, raising money for local paediatric wards and children’s health organisations throughout regional Australia.

SCA’s chief operating officer, John Kelly says the appeal has a big impact on sick children and their families “Year after year, we are blown away by the generosity of our local communities who dig deep in support of Give Me 5 for Kids”

“We are extremely proud of this year’s result and would like to thank our dedicated staff and local communities who manage to make each year even better than the last”.
