SCA expands The Studio

Wednesday 28 September, 2016

Southern Cross Austereo has expanded its client solutions concept ‘The Studio at SCA’ into its Sydney premises.

Since the concept was launched in Melbourne earlier this year, The Studio at SCA has enabled its teams to develop some of the company’s most effective client campaigns. For many clients, it’s the first time they have come to SCA for cross-platform solutions and many are now thrilled with the impressive campaign results being delivered.

SCA’s Head of The Studio, Wade Kingsley, was joined by an intimate crowd of Sydney’s industry VIPs, on air stars including 2Day FM’s Rove McManus and Sam Frost, Triple M’s Merrick Watts and Executives including, Chief Sales Officer Brian Gallagher and Head of Radio Sales Sydney Carla Vella.

Wade Kingsley said: “The Studio at SCA is a place where our creators collaborate with our clients to make multi-channel campaign ideas that deliver results. We’re thrilled to showcase our new space for The Studio in Sydney and look forward to working with our clients here in the future.”

The Hit Network’s Hamish & Andy are strong advocates of The Studio concept which allows them to be a part of the creative process directly with clients and therefore have more engagement in delivering brand objectives.

“The most important attribute when you’re talking to an audience, in order to engage them, is authenticity, being genuine....if you don't genuinely love what you’re doing or the idea you’re doing it just stinks from a mile away,” Hamish said.

As a result of engaging with The Studio at SCA, Myer’s GM of Brand and Consumer Strategy Natalie Warren-Smith explained how the retailer recently experienced their most successful Father’s Day ever, with a campaign held primarily across the Triple M Network.

“The campaign idea was ‘The gift for the biggest kid in the family’, so, we worked directly with Merrick (Watts) who allowed us to bring that fun element to life,” she said.

“The thing that was unique about The Studio at SCA’s response was that they really took the time to do their research, understand the appropriate audience, the right talent to fit the job and then thought about how they could deliver that across a multi-channel experience rather than just a single radio response.

“We had a record week, we’ve never had a more successful week as we’ve had this year.”

The Studio at SCA in Sydney is now open with clients already booked in for a jam session with the creative teams.
