Karen Halligan has been appointed to the newly created role of National Commercial and Operations Director at Southern Cross Austereo.

She joins SCA with over 20 years’ experience in media and marketing spanning both agency and client side.

Karen was most recently Head of Implementation and Investment for Bohemia and prior to this was General Manger, Slingshot Media, and has worked at Medicom, Universal McCann and Coca- Cola.

Andrea Ingham, National Sales Director, Southern Cross Austereo said: “Karen’s experience working with clients from a media agency and marketing perspective will add an extra dimension to the way we approach the market and clients.  We are thrilled to add someone of Karen’s caliber to the Management team and very much look forward to her contribution into our strategy and direction moving forward.”

Halligan will be based in Sydney and commence the role on Monday, 24 November 2014.
