Former triple j Roots & All presenter Sarah Howells returns to the airwaves in 2019, joining the Double J team to bring you a weekly dose of blues, roots and reggae with her new show Stir It Up.
 
The show, which premieres tonight, will draw on Sarah’s deep and longstanding love of the broad sounds that typify what is known as roots music and she says:

“I am beyond excited to be joining the amazing team at Double J in 2019. I can’t wait to spend Wednesday nights sharing music with you, as we dive deep into some of my favourite styles of music and the stories behind them. Blues, folk, reggae, roots and more – there’s so much to explore.”
 
Her long tenure on triple j saw her interview some of the biggest names in the game and helped cultivate the careers of some of the biggest artists in the now thriving Australian roots music scene and this new show will allow her the chance to go a little deeper with some of the more established artists in the roots scene.
