SANFL beats State of Origin: Aircheck report

SANFL is Australia's most advertised sporting event in the past two months,

According to AirCheck, with 757 instances across 5 stations, the South Australian National Football league topped events like State of Origin, Wimbledon and The World Cup.

In the AirCheck Top 5 Brands from various sporting events, the SANFL led the Australian Turf Clubs Spring Carnival , the AFL, Racing Queenslands Winter Carnival and the V8 Supercars.

Rebel Sport was the most popular sporting goods store, with a 36% share of the Top 5, airing 2,209 ads on 15 stations, closely followed by Pauls Wharehouse and Anaconda.

According to AirCheck Client Services Executive, Riarne Gale “Sport advertising on radio over the last two months has dramatically increased with almost 10,000 more sport ads in the last two months than the previous two.”

In the Gambling category, Sportsbet aired the most ads with 6,047 spots with 401 instances aired on Triple M Brisbane.
